Waikoloa Village Association to Vote on Lease Extension for WDFI!
This April the Waikoloa Village Association will vote on extending the current lease on the 275 acres of remnant lowland forest managed by the Waikoloa Dry Forest Initiative. It is our hope that the current 25 year lease will be extended to 75 years. The preservation and restoration of this forest is a long-term project requiring long-term presence, maintenance and management as well as long term permission by the Waikoloa Village Association to do all this work! If you are a resident of Waikoloa Village please look for the WDFI on the upcoming ballot! Mahalo for your continued support Waikoloa Village!
